The Chickee hut is a Florida Native American housing. The top is made from palm fronds, and the legs are made from cypress wood Native to Florida. These have been the housing for hundreds of years and have adapted to the Florida swamp. The house is still constructed today in Florida, by the Miccosukee Indians, and the Seminole Indians.
The earrings are made from an old way of making jewelry. The Tufa cast is first carved and then the silver is melted and poured into the tufa. Tufa is volcanic ash that has been hardened over 1000 years and is soft like talcum.
This is part of a series of Native American dwellings in America. The First Nations have unique dwellings in various parts of the country.
