The eye of the hurricane Is the most destructive part of the storm. When preparing for the storm, today we have technology to track the eye as it moves across the land. This is to protect us and to prepare our homes for the wind. The wind changes things. Growing up in South Florida when the Hurricane Storms came it would change the landscape. This pendant is to protect the wearer from these storms.

This was made by an older style of jewelry making called Tufa Casting. In the casting process, a design is hand-carved into sandstone(Tufa), creating a negative space where molten silver or gold can be poured. After casting, the piece is refined and decorated by hand. A single sand cast can take days to carve and usually lasts for only a handful of castings, making this a delicate process that is practiced by only the most skilled artists.
